About Us

One Big Scary Fish

Three colleagues from Stoneridge Montessori School realized the need for comprehensive ocean education. Guided by the Principles of Ocean Literacy, we created an innovative curriculum around an Ocean Timeline. Our goal is to have students learn about the ocean in the context of evolutionary time, understand it’s importance to our planet, and speak out for a healthy ocean.

The Ocean Timeline is a comprehensive teaching tool for students to inquire, explore, and investigate the science of ocean literacy. The curriculum includes a power point presentation, art projects, and colorful illustrations that mark milestones in our oceans history.
